Student Rules & Responsibilities

Testing Center Rules

Have your photo identification ready to check in. Your photo identification must include both your first and last name. Ideally, this would be our student ID or driver's license.

You must reschedule if you are late for your scheduled appointment.

During testing, students may not open any other browsers—including e-mail or documents/textbooks—before, during, or after the exam has been submitted unless allowed by the instructor. Once the exam is submitted, log off the Clarkson College Canvas website. Return any approved scratch paper or items to the proctor and exit the Testing Center.

Any student whose behavior is disruptive will be asked to leave the Testing Center.

Photo ID

You must present a photo ID such as a student ID, valid driver's license, or military ID at every visit to the Testing Center. Only original, hard-copy IDs are acceptable. IDs presented on an electronic device are not acceptable. IDs are to be left in the hanging clear compartments by the entrance or with your personal belongings in a cubby and must not be taken to the testing stations.

Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited in the Testing Center:

(This is to help keep the integrity of your exams secure.)

  • Electronic devices (this includes watches and phones).
  • Books or notes unless otherwise specified by your instructor.
  • Backpacks, purses, handbags, and/or other items. These must be able to fit in one cubby.
